Texture and Quality

They feature a classic, highly sophisticated design with a very dense and tight pile. They are very firm and solid in consistency, possessing a high knot density which allows for very good definition, even in the smallest figures of their design.
One of their most notable characteristics can be seen in a large central medallion surrounded by small figures and complexly designed borders. The wool used is fine and soft, giving them a very pleasant feel.

Base Structure

Cotton warp (in some cases it may be wool) with a very tight cotton weft. The Persian knot is used in the making of these rugs due to its very dense and solid structure. It is not advisable to fold these rugs as the base could be damaged. To transport or store them, it is best to roll them up.
